Movement-focused care

About Dr. Kyle

Hands-on chiropractic care shaped around how you move, what you ask of your body, and the life you want to keep living.

Dr. Kyle enjoys working with athletes and with anyone who wants more out of their body. His care is especially geared toward people who do not want to feel limited by pain, stiffness, recurring injuries, or the sense that their body is holding them back from the life they want to live.

That often includes people who care deeply about staying active, performing well, recovering efficiently, and continuing to do the things they love for the long haul. In Bozeman, that may mean staying strong enough for the mountains, resilient enough for training, or simply capable enough to keep up with work, family, and the outdoors without constantly feeling restricted.

While he works with a wide range of conditions, his favorite cases are often performance-focused. These are the patients who are not just trying to get out of pain, but who want to move better, recover smarter, and perform at a higher level with more confidence in their body.

A thoughtful starting point

What a Visit Looks Like

A typical visit starts with a full exam and a real conversation about you, your goals, and what matters most to you physically. The focus is not just on where something hurts, but on understanding what is getting in the way of performance, recovery, consistency, and confidence in movement.

From there, care may include manual adjustments, dry needling, and other soft tissue therapies depending on what your body needs. Dr. Kyle may also assess how you move to identify subtle patterns that could be contributing to pain, restriction, instability, or inefficient mechanics.

The goal is not just to give temporary relief. It is to help you keep doing what you love, or do it at a higher level with fewer setbacks. That might mean reducing pain, improving motion, increasing resilience, or helping you recover better between training sessions or long days outside.

Care focus

Care Built Around How You Move

Dr. Kyle’s approach may combine hands-on care, tissue-focused support, and movement assessment according to the person and the goals in front of him.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Manual adjustments may be part of care when restoring motion and improving function are appropriate for the patient’s needs.

Dry Needling & Soft Tissue Care

Dry needling and other soft tissue therapies may be used as part of a practical plan for recovery, motion, and tissue support.

Movement Assessment

When useful, Dr. Kyle may assess movement patterns that could be contributing to restriction, instability, or inefficient mechanics.

Performance & Recovery

Care is shaped around what the patient wants to keep doing, from training and mountain pursuits to work, family, and daily life.

Individualized and adaptable

Approach to Care

The goal is always the same: help the body move better, handle more, and feel less limited over time.

Dr. Kyle believes that pain, recovery, and performance look different for everyone. His role is not to apply the same routine to every patient, but to help create the right environment for the body to heal, adapt, and function the way it is supposed to.

His style of care is shaped by a unique background. Growing up around chiropractic through both his father and grandfather, he was exposed early to different ways of thinking, adjusting, and solving problems. Over time, he pulled from those influences, along with different mentors and techniques, to develop a style that is practical, adaptable, and results-focused.

That background gives him the ability to approach each case with flexibility rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all plan. Some patients need more direct hands-on work. Others need a more layered strategy focused on movement quality, tissue recovery, and restoring confidence in how their body performs under stress.

Who he helps

A Good Fit For

Dr. Kyle may be a good fit for patients looking for hands-on, movement-focused care that supports both short-term relief and long-term resilience.

Active Adults

People who want to feel capable and unrestricted through training, work, family life, and the outdoors.

Athletes & Lifters

Lifters, CrossFit athletes, and others who care about performance, movement quality, and recovery.

Mountain Pursuits

Trail runners, skiers, hunters, and outdoorsmen preparing their bodies for real demands in Southwest Montana.

Everyday Performance

Busy adults who may not identify as athletes but still want their bodies to perform reliably in daily life.

TMJ & Simple Vestibular Concerns

Dr. Kyle also enjoys working with TMJ-related concerns and straightforward vestibular cases where movement, mechanics, and nervous system input may be part of the clinical picture.

Dr. Kyle enjoys helping athletes, active adults, and people who want more from their body. That can mean someone pushing performance in training, someone trying to stay strong enough for the mountains, or someone who simply wants to feel capable and unrestricted in daily life.

He works with many different issues, but he is especially drawn to cases where improving movement quality, recovery, and overall function can make a meaningful difference. These are often the people who are motivated, disciplined, and ready to do the work, but need the right guidance to stop repeating the same cycle.

That may include lifters, trail runners, skiers, hunters, outdoorsmen, CrossFit athletes, or busy adults who do not necessarily identify as athletes but still want their body to perform reliably under real-life demands.

Practical and purposeful

What Patients Notice

Patients often describe Dr. Kyle as a strong combination of the other providers at Windy Ridge. They appreciate that his care feels both hands-on and thoughtful, with enough versatility to match the person in front of him rather than forcing them into a routine.

Many patients notice that visits feel practical and purposeful. They leave with a better understanding of what is going on, what may be contributing to it, and what needs to happen next in order to keep improving.

The feedback tends to be simple and direct: he gets it done. Patients value that the care feels efficient, effective, and rooted in helping them return to what matters most.

Rooted in the same lifestyle

Life Outside the Clinic

Outside the clinic, Dr. Kyle spends time with his wife, Dr. Claire Schauf, and their German Wirehaired Pointer, Hank, the newest addition to the family. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, training, shooting, and spending time in the mountains, and he stays closely connected to the same outdoor lifestyle many of his patients are working to get back to.

He also enjoys keeping both saltwater and freshwater fish and has a long-standing interest in philosophy. That combination of discipline, curiosity, appreciation for systems, and respect for the natural world shows up in the way he practices and the way he thinks through more complex cases.

Because he values performance, resilience, and a capable body in his own life, his care is built around helping patients not just feel better, but feel more prepared for the life they actually want to live.
